There’s a gun store in Oklahoma City that is selling a fully-functional (including the main 120mm cannon) Chieftain Mk6 tank for $249,999. The cannon is registered as a Destructive Device with the ATF (making it legal) and it comes with ten 120mm rounds.

If all of us chip in, we could buy this! We could get junk PT Cruisers and Neons and Escorts and Priuses (Prii?) and run them over with it. The top ten contributors get to fire the main cannon. It’s a foolproof and flawless plan.

In engine news, the Chieftain has not one but two opposed piston two stroke engines, the larger of which actually powers it and is a multi fuel design able to run on just about any combustible liquid you can get into it. It doesn’t necessarily run all the time unfortunately.

Well we’d probably need a corporate entity established plus secure facilities (non residential) for storage of the destructive devices. Wed have to show a continuous need for destructive devices. Annual inspections on the premises. On top of that they’d probably grill everyone we talk to as well as analyze our Internet foot prints.
